Reiki.
A gentle, non invasive option to add to your healing regimen.
The word Reiki (pronounced Ray-Key) means “Universal Life Force Energy”. It is made up of two Japanese characters, Rei meaning “Universal Spirit” and Ki meaning “ Vital Life Force Energy”.
So basically, “Spiritually Guided Life Force Energy”.
Reiki was born under the idea that an unseen ‘life force energy’ flows through every living thing and it is what gives us life. When that energy is low, we are more likely to get sick and feel stressed out, unmotivated, and when it is higher, we are more likely to feel relaxed, centered and ready to take on whatever the next step of the journey is.
Reiki is a gentle, non invasive form of natural healing that treats the whole person; body, mind and spirit.
It heals what’s ready to be healed and unveils what’s ready to be unveiled.
It has been used to help almost every known illness, physically and mentally alike, and is a great option in conjunction with other medical & therapeutical treatment plans to aid in your recovery and relief of side effects.
Most human’s instinct is to use their hands to relieve pain and bring comfort, whether it’s for yourself or another being. That is how Reiki is done, through a combination of the gentle laying of hands on the body and a floating of the hands slightly above the body. If you do not wish to be touched at all, that is absolutely your right and will not hinder the healing in any way. Please advocate for yourself! You will lay on a massage table(fully clothed), through use of the symbols we are attuned and taught in class, a practioner will charge up the space and your chakra system with Reiki. From there, what you can experience differs, but the Reiki will flow through your chakra system, beginning to clear and align them back to their natural state. This begins to bring restoration and balance to your system that has yet to be taught how to release the things it does not need. Through this rebalancing, ‘life force energy’ begins to flow through you more freely and heighten your own natural healing abilities, meaning that even once you leave the table, you will still be healing.
A co-creation between practioner, who is a conduit for the, ‘universal spirit energy’ to flow through and intuitively guide into you, while you receive.
A beautiful relationship between the universe, practioner and client.
Reiki is not a religion, with no dogma, but rather spiritual in nature and welcome to be received and taught to all (even animals), regardless of what you believe.
You can receive Reiki from a Certified Practioner, Master or Master Teacher in a 1 on 1 setting, or a combination of the three through a local Reiki Share. However, you should only learn Reiki from a Reiki Master/Teacher.
